Another of my favorite sets of tools that gets a lot of use in the kitchen is my Microplane graters. I have a couple of flat graters, and then a box grater from Microplane, and they are amazingly good at their jobs.
The fine grater works great for zesting citrus and grating ginger to just name a couple of things.
The coarse grater works great for grating chocolate and fresh horseradish as well as many other ingredients in the pantry.
I use the box grater for larger projects like shredding apples and carrots.
I also have a slide hopper for the flat graters that I find helpful, and a small grater specifically for nutmeg.
The Microplane products are in a class of their own, and well worth the price. Here are some links to updated versions of the ones I use.
Enjoy!
